I am a therapist whose warmth and experience helps set people at ease. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing grief and loss, trauma,  anxiety, and depression. I am trained in EMDR therapy for individuals and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. My office is located in Evergreen, CO, and I am available to meet in person, outside in the foothills, or on the secure platform of zoom.

I earned my graduate degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology in 2008 from Naropa University and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2012. For several years, I worked as a wilderness therapist and the Family Services Director at a Wilderness Therapy program in Durango, Colorado. Now, I have a private practice in Evergreen, CO.

Through a variety of therapeutic modalities and listening for what my client’s individual and familial goals and needs are, I provide a creative and peaceful environment for healing to occur. It is my belief that individuals and families can confront, transform, and heal. My intention is to help you remove obstacles and move towards wholeness.

If you are interested in participating in Yoga Therapy, I bring this rich work into my sessions when appropriate. I meet with clients who are willing to be engaged and work hard in the therapeutic process. I think of my work as a collaboration with you where we can explore the parts of your life that need some tending. I am honored to accompany you in your process. I was a competitive athlete, and part of my practice is focused on working with athletes, including athletes who are transitioning out of their sport.

Clients that I do not work with in private practice include people in early recovery from addiction or who are actively using, people who are suicidal, self harming, or newly out of in-patient treatment. Please know that if you are struggling in this way, you can call me, and I can offer some professional referrals to support your needs. It is important to find the best fit for you.

I team up with a program called Breakwater Expeditions, where I provide the therapy, and their staff provides the guiding. These fun, dynamic, and meaningful trips are geared towards couples and families who are interested in doing therapeutic work while floating down a river and camping. This is a unique and very real way to drop the technology and turn towards your loved ones in a beautiful and supportive environment.

Reflections from a successful green River trip: From a Father's perspective

“Thank you! We will value and remember this trip. For our youngest son, this is an accomplishment he can build on. For our oldest, it is a point he can refer to as he moves into his new phase of life (college). I learned more about how my sons and I can better our relationship.” - Father of a family of four
